Their lyrical movements and rhythmic vibrancy are both contagious and captivating. Honoring the powerful connection of sisterhood, Sahibat (which means "girlfriends" in Arabic) celebrates the spirit of life through dance. Each dancer brings her own unique dance talents and life experiences to every performance. The members of Sahibat perform drum solos, oriental style, fantasy gypsy and Rom, folkloric, and modern fusion. Her paintings are done mainly in oils and acrylics. Most of Julie's work is a type of abstraction and/or expressionism. She has been painting for over 6 years and is now exploring 3D media, mainly pottery which will be featured in January's Art Walk.
