In my lifetime, I have experienced many moments in time that enriched my life and remained in my memory. Happily, the two experiences have merged. By using what I learned about the principles and techniques of watercolor, I have strived to put my favorite moments in time on paper. From my attempts to coax the watercolors into composition, shape, value and texture, I believe I have been able to turn memories into concrete images. Riverside Arts is now in it’s third year as a pioneering program providing adults with developmental disabilities an opportunity to explore their creative potential. Over one hundred individuals have participated in the workshops, some briefly and some over the entire twenty month period. We believe that every individual has the potential to flourish through the creative process. We encourage each of our artists to follow their natural inclinations and find their own artistic voice.
