Stephanie Sullivan brings you the unusual and sometimes odd creatures from the natural world. These brightly colored and almost animated acrylic paintings create unique personalities. The close-up views and heavy texture surface show us the details so often over looked in our complicated world.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Massachusetts BFA degree in painting in 1999 and is currently living in Northampton, Massachusetts. She has been involved in local fine art organizations for many years. Her work has been displayed in many places in Northampton, Amherst and Easthampton such as the Heter Gallery, Amherst and the Center for the Arts in Northampton.
Stefanie D. Johnson is a resident of Easthampton , MA , and a self-taught artist and writer. She works in a variety of media including acrylics, colored pencils, and markers. Her style has been called “Renaissance Anime” by some, and her works deal with folklore, myth, spirituality, and the tarot.
The Elusie Gallery's big 'previously hung' art sale. Original work, limited editions prints, posters and other framed and unframed artwork. Everything HAS TO GO, we need to make room!
Photography is my passion. I work in traditional black and white as well as digital photography. My work reflects who I am. It shows the complexity within which I work. As artists we are constantly progressing to new and exciting platforms. I am in a period of life where my work reflects the space around me. The places, people, and objects with which I see around me are what makes for the compositions in my photographs. I observe life around me. I see what people don't usually notice as they pass through on their every day routines. I photograph many places and objects that people pass daily but never notice. I try to give new perspectives on places and objects that people are already aware of.
Anna Basalaev-Binder has been creating visually for as long as she can remember. Her recent focus has been on inks and acrylics with lots of colors. She has been drawing inspiration from deserted new england streets at night, plastic star beads, and the moon (among other things.) Anna has exhibited in New Jersey and North Carolina, where she lived prior to moving to Northampton. Please join us for Anna's first western mass showing!
Please come join us for the LAST EVER Art Walk party at Back on the Rack. We will have art, music, clothes, food, drink and tons of fun celebrating the life of Back on the Rack!!
Born and raised in Central Minnesota, Aric Bieganek grew up infused with the belief that music can both tell stories and inspire personal and social change. His perspective and his songs -– from the introspectively placid to the passionately outspoken -– all embody this belief, just as they have since he was a little boy playing his first plastic guitar. Although Aric has traveled as far east as Japan, as far north as Iceland, and across the United States in his trusty Ford, his connection to his roots is evident in all the poetry and fervor of his songwriting.
Please come join us for the LAST EVER Art Walk party at Back on the Rack. We will have art, music, clothes, food, drink and tons of fun celebrating the life of Back on the Rack!!

These works represent the past three years of taking as many pictures as possible when the opportunities arose. As an artist I have expressed my inner eye in a variety of media - Oils, Watercolors, Ink, Pencil, clay, animation, 3D modeling, wood, graphic design, etc. Many of these photos were taken with the intention of using them as photo references for large scale Oil paintings. The evolved into so much more and became expression in their own right. Then the reference photos became snapshots of interesting things - then a compulsion to capture the dynamic and the interesting. Color and black & white, all digital images and all digitally processed and printed. From Key West to Mystic, CT, from New Orleans to New York City, from Hadley to Ft. Myers, these photos are only this step in the journey that is always evolving. And that is why I enjoyed it so much.
I pretty much consider myself a Spiritualist. My Art tries to bring to life that level of consciousness. Whether it's the Holy Spirit, an animal spirit, or the spirit of a deceased loved one, I hope to delve into their realms.
I have exhibited in NYC and Charlottesville, VA, where I was trained, as well as in several locations in the Pioneer Valley.
My art , at this time, measures 16'x20' and some pieces can be placed together to form a larger whole. I work in acrylic, phosphorescent glazes, wax and herbal emulsions.
Martina Robinson is a proud pro-choice, anti-selection feminist, as well an artist, activist, and academic, who lives in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. A poet since the sixth grade, and a creative writer long before, the Set on Freedom series, now at six volumes is her first collection of gathered poetry.
This live performance reprising 'Nightschool”, an art-in-the-nightclubs interdisciplinary troupe from 1980's San Francisco, features the projections of Stuart Cudlitz, live and recorded music by Bill O'Haire, and dance by Christie Svane.
The Concrete Poetry series is the latest work by Stuart Cudlitz integrating painting and collage and the vocabulary of poetry with dynamic concepts from music and filmmaking. The result is a suite of new collage paintings and mixed media assemblage works aggregating torn street posters, torn drawings, personal documents and found objects with pastels, acrylics and oils on board that challenge the mind's eye.
