She is drawn to the accelerated life span of flowers and captures their momentary existence in her compositions. She says, "I am interested in closely observing how natural materials relate visually to man-made objects and environments." Connie earned her B.F.A. and M.A from Pittsburg State University and taught painting and drawing at Kansas State University. More recently, she taught drawing and design at Smith College.

Dwight Pogue is a printmaker and professor at Smith College where he teaches printmaking and drawing. He has shown in numerous national and international juried exhibitions and his work is included in many private and public collections. Dwight is a former Society Member of the International Print Triennial of Cracow, Poland. As a Fulbright recipient, he taught at the Bradford College of Art and Technology in England from 1975-77. He is director of the Smith College Print Workshop€a program that he founded that brings together noted artists and master printers to produce limited edition prints exposing students to new techniques and creative processes.

Melissa Incampo returns to exhibit again in The Robert Floyd Photo Gallery and Learning Center. Melissa's black and white candids capture the essence of the people and scenes she photographs in a revealing photojournalistic style.Ms. Incampo has served most recently as the juror in The Gallery's Sixth Annual "Women in History Month" Photo Exhibit. Her working in prestigious NYC photo galleries has assisted Melissa in training her mind, heart and eye to continually captivate us with her striking images.

"This collection of images began in 1996 and continues to follow the everyday activities of the middle class in America. This work serves as an introduction to communities where I’ve spent significant periods of my life, including New England, New Mexico and New York. Rarely directing the scene, I react to moments that feel raw. There are many hidden clues within the narrative style of the work which presents my photography as a hope chest of stories. Lee Friedlander once simply stated that for him, “photography began as a compulsion and ends as a way of life”. I feel the compulsion to interpret my surroundings through a sequence of photographs that are refreshingly straightforward", shares Melissa Incampo.

Art Walk Easthampton has an open call for visual, music and performance artists who would like to showcase their talents during the monthly Art Walk. Visual shows typically last 3-4 weeks while performance and music are for the evening of the event.

The process is a 3-page form with a series of questions: types of venues interested in, available dates, number of pieces proposed or length of performance, etc. Your answers form the proposal which is then made available to each of the venues.
